Two teenagers have tragically died and another has been injured in a single-vehicle crash in Donegal.

The accident happened on the R238 at Terrawee, near Gleneely at around 12.45 am this morning, Monday, November 6.

Gardai said a man and a woman, both in their late teens, were pronounced dead at the scene.

A third teenager, a man in his late teens, was taken to Letterkenny University Hospital but his injuries are said to be non-life threatening.

The road remained closed on Monday morning and forensic investigators have been asked to carry out an examination.

Gardaí in Buncrana have asked witnesses, particularly anyone with dashcam footage, to come forward.
