Fundraiser set up for hit-and-victim’s funeral costs

Tragic Ronan Wilson (9) killed in hit-and-run incident in Donegal

A fundraiser that has been set up to help pay the funeral costs of nine year old Ronan Wilson has reached almost £28,000.

Ronan was killed in a tragic hit-and-run incident in Bundoran on Saturday night, while he and his family, originally from Kildress in County Tyrone, were on holiday in the seaside town.

Garda investigations are ongoing, but a man appeared in court yesterday in connection with the incident.

The fundraiser, to help pay for Ronan’s funeral expenses, as well as his family’s living costs in the coming months, has now reached over £26,800 and counting.

Arrangements for Ronan’s funeral have also been announced.

Ronan’s remains are currently reposing at his family home.

Funeral from there on Thursday at 11:15am for 12:00 noon requiem Mass in St. Mary’s Church, Dunamore with burial afterwards in adjoining cemetery, which can be viewed using this link: https://mcnmedia.tv/camera/st-marys-church-6

Family time only please from 10pm until 10am and on the morning of the funeral.
