People Before Profit Faughan representative Damian Gallagher says residents have raised concerns over a lack of road signage at the end of the new A6 road.

Said Mr Gallagher: “I have been contacted by a concerned local resident regarding the roads at the Derry end of the new A6.

“I have now written to the Department for Infrastructure regarding the road signage from the Drumahoe Park & Ride at Lismacarol/Watery Brae and the lack of appropriate speed limit signage.

“I have been told that people using the road up to Tirbracken Road, are unsure about what speed they should be doing.

“We have too many local road tragedies this past year and it is crucial that all roads are properly demarcated so that we do all we can to avoid road accidents.”
