Council forced to close pitches over freezing weather

DERRY City and Strabane District Council says it has decided to shut its grass pitches this weekend because of the freezing weather conditions.

The council tweeted today: “Given the current and forecasted weather conditions, Council have taken the decision to close all grass pitches this weekend.

“For any queries contact grasspitchbooking@derrystrabane.com or tel: 07925 891 727.”
