Passengers using the Derry train services this weekend have been advised to plan their journey in advance with engineering work to take place.

The service will be impacted by work taking place in Antrim, with bus substitutions taking place.

The bus substitutions along the route will take place between Antrim and Great Victoria Street in Belfast.

The work had previously been scheduled to take place at Halloween but had been delayed for a week to prevent any disruption to Derry’s annual celebrations.

A Translink spokesperson said: “Translink is set to carry out essential engineering works across on Sunday, November 6, impacting the Derry Line.

“On Sunday, November 6, there will be works in the Antrim area which will impact on the Derry Line with bus substitution services operating between Antrim and Great Victoria Street.

“Passengers are advised to check the website www.translink.co.uk or Journey Planner before they travel and allow extra time for their journey.”
