RTÉ to screen Derry City-Shamrock Rovers FAI Cup clash

he highly-anticipated Extra.ie FAI Cup quarter-final between Derry City and Shamrock Rovers on Sunday, September 18, will be shown live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player.

While the two teams are currently battling it out for league honours, they will turn their attention to cup commitments at the Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium [5pm] and the RTÉ cameras will be in Derry to capture the action.

RTÉ will also have live television coverage of Shamrock Rovers’ SSE Airtricity Premier Division game with Shelbourne at Tallaght Stadium on 9 October [5pm].

Meanwhile, fixture details have been confirmed for the other three FAI Cup quarter-final ties.

Both Treaty United’s meeting with UCD and Dundalk’s trip to Waterford will be played on Friday 16 September at 7:45pm.

The clash of Shelbourne and Bohemians at Tolka Park will take place on September 18 [2pm].

Treaty United v UCD – Friday, 16 September, Markets Field, 7:45pm

Waterford v Dundalk- Friday, 16 September 16, Regional Sports Centre, 7:45pm

Shelbourne v Bohemians – Sunday, 18 September, Tolka Park, 2pm

Derry City v Shamrock Rovers – Sunday, 18 September, The Ryan McBride Brandywell Stadium, 5pm
