Software company collaborates with NWRC on specialist training course

Locally based software company Foods Connected are collaborating with North West Regional College’s (NWRC) Business Support Centre (BSC) to achieve a Microsoft Azure accreditation through a specialist software training course.

Foods Connected’s supply chain management software platform for the food industry is utilised by 10 of the largest food retailers in the world providing them with leading solutions to help them manage their supplier compliance, quality control, traceability and trading and planning management.

Andrew Nicell, HR Manager at Foods Connected explained: “This is a really exciting training collaboration with NWRC which will help our developers accelerate the advancement of our products using Azure Cloud.

“One of the key values of Foods Connected is investment in our team. We know that by investing in our team and in the development of their skills this will help us to nurture and retain a really strong and innovative workforce.

“Our ongoing collaboration with NWRC BSC’s has helped us to identify ways in which we can continue to improve the team, their skills, their career and essentially their lives.”

NWRC Business Skills Manager Sinead Hawkins added: “We have collaborated with Food’s Connected on a number of upskilling programmes over the past 3 years.

“As well as delivering the specialist Microsoft Azure developer training course we have also supported them with leadership and management training and personnel development.

“Foods Connected have proven that investment in your workforce and in skills development really pays off.

“Not only did they recently win a prestigious Digital DNA Award they were also highlighted in the Deloitte Ireland’s Fast 50 in 2021.

“This Deloitte Award reflects the level of innovation and dedication that Foods Connected have been striving for as a company at the forefront of Supply Chain Management and compliance within the food industry.”
