Power cut in Derry

There are reports of power cuts in the Strand Road area of Derry this morning.

The power outage is also affecting traffic lights in the area.

The power cut is affecting around 116 customers.

The electricity outage was reported just after 7.30 am.

NIE Networks said in a tweet: “We are aware some customers are without electricity in the #BT48 area.

“A repair team is en route now and we will endeavour to restore power as quickly and safely as possible.”

Power is expected to be restored at around 11 am.
