POLICE are appealing for the public’s help over the theft of construction equipment in Derry.

Police Derry City and Strabane say: “We’re appealing for information following a report that pieces of equipment – an auger drill, a rock breaker and an excavating bucket.

“They were parked in a construction area on Glenshane Road and had been stolen, sometime between 6pm on Friday (29th April) and 6am yesterday, May 2.

“It would have taken some effort to remove these pieces of equipment, and we’re asking anyone with information to get in touch.

“Anyone offered similar pieces of equipment for sale in suspicious circumstances is also asked to get in touch. Call 101, quoting reference number 628 of 02/05/22.”
