CITY Centre Initiative (CCI) Derry has reported that essential works will be taking place on the Letterkenny Road over the next few weeks.

This is to facilitate new sewage and gas utilities in the area.

Lane closures and traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works.

CCI Derry says: “We have been made aware of the following works to the sewer and gas utilities on the Letterkenny Road.

“We wish to make you aware to assist with your forward planning. On behalf of those undertaking the works we would like to apologise for any inconvenience these works may cause.

“If you require any further information please do not hesitate to contact the CCI offices on 02871 360 169 and we will be happy to answer your queries.”

The details are below:

Letterkenny Road (A40) – Wednesday 3rd & Thursday 4th November (08:00-17:00 Daily) Lane Closure Only

A lane closure will be in place on the Letterkenny Road today Wednesday 3rd November and Thursday 4th November.

The lane closure will operate between the hours of 8 am and 5 pm and is required to facilitate a new gas connection to a development in the area. See image below above showing location.

Traffic Management will be in operation with expected delays five minutes or less.

Letterkenny Road (A40) – Monday 8th – Friday 19th November (Continuous) Lane Closure Only

A lane closure will be in operation on the below (pictured) section of the Letterkenny Road from Monday 8th November until Friday 19th November.

Due to the depth of the excavations it is essential for the lane closure and traffic management to remain in place continuously for the duration of the works.

These works are required to carry out essential sewage works for new and existing developments in the area.
