The scene of Saturday’s single vehicle crash in Muff

POLICE on both sides of the border are hunting a driver who fled the scene of a crash in Donegal

Gardaí are appealing for information after the driver of a car that crashed in Muff village this evening fled on foot.

Officers attended the scene of a single vehicle collision of a Jaguar car on the main street of the border village at approximately 5.15pm on Saturday evening.

They contacted the PSNI at Strand Road in Derry for patrols to be alerted to the suspect who may have crossed the border escape arrest by Gardai.

A Garda spokesperson said: “The driver fled the scene and the vehicle was seized for a technical examination. Investigations are ongoing.”

No one was injured in the incident.

Anyone with information or dash cam footage should contact their local garda station.
