Said the Foyle MLA: “I am pleased to receive confirmation from DfI Roads of resurfacing of the road network at Circular Road.
“This maintenance work will encompass the entire carriageway and the adjacent footways at Circular Road as well as resurfacing for parts of the adjoining roads at Creggan Heights and Iniscarn Road.
“The road network in the area had fallen into a state of disrepair and I’ve been contacted by residents about numerous potholes over the years.
“I’ve no doubt people will be relieved to see these improvements.
“And while it’s frustrating that commencement of this work has been paused due to contractual issues, I have received assurances from the Department that they will continue to inspect the carriageway and address any defects in the interim.”
