Sex offender with Derry links to face court

POLICE have confirmed that James Taggart, who was previously unlawfully at large, handed himself into a PSNI station on Monday, July 26.

The 27-year-old has now been charged to appear at Omagh Magistrate’s Court today (Tuesday, July 27) for a first remand hearing.

A PSNI spokespersons said: “We would like to thank the public for their assistance in our appeal for information.”

Taggart is subject to notification requirements as he is convicted of a sexual offence.
