Coronavirus: McLaughlin supports independent retailers

THE SDLP’s Sinéad McLaughlin has joined with party colleagues to show their support for High Street Heroes NI.

Ms McLaughlin stressed the importance of supporting local businesses.

Said the Foyle MLA: “As we emerge from the Covid-19 pandemic it’s more important than ever to show support for our local businesses who have been unable to trade as normal for long periods of time.

“Many of these businesses have remained open with staff working long hours to ensure the public had what they needed to get them through a difficult time.

“Across Derry we are lucky to have a wide range of independent convenience stores, delis, butchers and special interest shops.

“What better way to show your support and solidarity to our local businesses by giving them a boost with your custom after such a trying time.”
