A 34 year old man has been arrested as part of an ongoing Paramilitary Crime Task Force (PCTF) investigation targeting the organised illegal drug criminality linked to the INLA in Derry.
The suspect was arrested in the City this afternoon on suspicion of a number of drugs related offences and remains in custody at this time.
Five other men, arrested last week as part of the same cross border investigation, have already appeared before Derry Magistrates’ Court charged with a number of offences.
Police conducted searches in Galliagh and Limavdy while Gardai search properties in Donegal and Dublin as part of the operation.
