Cassidy family raise almost £2k for Derry renal unit

THE family of the late Patrick Cassidy, who attended for dialysis at Altnagelvin Renal Unit back in 2017, organised a special fundraising event for in his honour.

Several family members wanted to raise some funds for the Renal Unit.

They decided they would take on the task of climbing Slieve Donard, raising an amazing total of £2,840.

The Western Trust say: “Their generous donation is greatly appreciated by all members of staff at the unit.

“In the picture is Patrick’s daughter Teresa Cassidy and her niece Marina Cassidy who both took part in the climb.

“Also in the picture are Sean Mullan, Renal Unit Manager, Laura Craig- Dialysis Assistant and Dr Siddhesh Prabhavalkar, Consultant Nephrologist.”
