Mayor launches online George Floyd book of remembrance

THE North West Migrant Forum has set up an online book of remembrance for George Floyd.

This is to mark the first anniversary of his murder at the hands of police in Minneapolis, USA on May 25, 2020.

Mayor of Derry City and Strabane District Council Councillor Brian Tierney helped launch the online book of remembrance at the Guildhall.

An online memorial service will also be held on May 25 from 7.30 pm to 9 pm and will be live streamed on the North West Migrant Forum’s Facebook page.
