THE Catholic Bishop of Derry, the Most Reverend Donal McKeown will lead a ‘Stations of the Cross Remembrance Vigil’ from St Eugene’s Cathedral this Friday, March 26.

Bishop McKeown invites people across the Diocese to join this event is prayerful remembrance, of all who have died in our diocese in the last twelve months, since the start of the pandemic.

The Vigil will be built round the Stations of the Cross and the names from each parish will be read out.

As the names are read out, a rose plant will be brought forward to the sanctuary in the name of each parish.

These roses will, at a later stage, be planted in a planned Garden of Remembrance at the Cathedral.

The Vigil will start at 9 pm and continue throughout the night.

It will conclude with Mass on Saturday morning at 4.30 am.

You can follow the Vigil broadcast live online at: https://www.derrydiocese.org/
