DERRY City FC says it is delighted to confirm that Cameron McJannet, James Akintunde and Darren Cole have all signed contract extensions ahead of the 2021 season.

The Brandywell club said: “We are also very happy to note that Academy player Ronan Boyce has signed his first professional contract and we are looking forward to watching him progress over the next few seasons.

“Work is continuing to identify players who can take the club forward this year and we expect to have further announcements in the near future.

“As you will be aware there remains a degree of uncertainty over when the new season will start and what restrictions will subsequently be in place.

“Obviously we are keen to have supporters back at the Brandywell as soon as possible, however we will as always be guided by the appropriate authorities.

“At present, every club is struggling without the revenue which is normally provided by season ticket sales and Derry City is no different.

“We would like to confirm that we have now opened our new club Membership scheme. Revenue from this venture goes directly into helping to build our playing squad for the new season.

“There are a number of packages available on the scheme and we would ask supporters to consider these as a way of helping the club.

“Details of the different Membership tiers can be found here – https://www.derrycityfc.net/2021-membership-sign-up/

“Finally, the Board would also like to put on record our thanks to Kevin Deery and Martin McCann who have now left the club.

“We are grateful to both men for their hard work over the past couple of seasons and we wish them well for the future.”
