O’Neills have placed a corporate order for £10,000 worth of InStrabane gift cards to reward staff working to fulfil Christmas orders.

The gift card is accepted in 70 businesses throughout the town centre and covers a wide range of business sectors, including cafés, restaurants, retail shops and service providers. It can be purchased at any value ranging from £5 to £200.

Kieran Kennedy, Managing Director of O’Neills and Chair of Strabane BID, said the gift cards were a way for the company to reward staff during the busy Christmas period, as well as supporting fellow businesses in Strabane.

“As a company we are incredibly grateful to our staff who are working extra hours to assist us in ensuring that we can fulfil all of our Christmas orders.

“It’s a really busy time for us, and it’s thanks to our staff willing to go the extra mile that we are able to send out O’Neills items that will be under Christmas trees across the country and all around the world.

“In both my role with O’Neills and my position as BID Chair, I want to do what I can to support Strabane businesses and make sure that money is staying within our local economy, so the gift cards are a perfect way to do that while thanking our staff who are going above and beyond this festive season.”

Emma McGill, Strabane Town Centre Development Manager, added: “So many workers, including those at O’Neills, are doing everything they can to keep businesses thriving.

“I would like to thank O’Neills for their order which will be a well-deserved reward for workers putting in so many hours during this lead-up to Christmas and which will, in turn, support so many neighbouring businesses across Strabane.

“I would strongly encourage any employers who are looking at rewarding their staff this festive season to consider purchasing an InStrabane gift card this year, safe in the knowledge that they are also helping Strabane town as a whole.”

To purchase an InStrabane gift card, visit www.instrabane.org or visit O’Neills Sportswear in Strabane.

Cards can be sent to the purchaser or, alternatively, straight to the recipient.
