Cusack urges Foyleside community to be extra cautious over criminals

SDLP Councillor Shauna Cusack

SDLP Councillor for Foyleside Shauna Cusack has warned people to be extra cautious and alert following further crimes against property in the area.

Said Cllr Cusack: “Yet another resident was made a victim of crime last night when their car was broken into in Hatmore and its likely there were attempts on others.

“Following thefts in the area last week this is a real issue of concern and as the nights close in these criminals will no doubt continue to take advantage unless caught.

“While in some cases they will not be deterred, I’m urging people not to give them any opportunity, lock up and be alert.

“At a time when we are all so concerned and distracted with major changes to our daily lives, work and finances, protecting our property should not be another added worry.

“These individuals have no concern or care for the distress and trauma they are causing the community and their actions are disgusting.

“If anyone has any information which might help please get in touch.

“These parasites need to be caught and held to account.”
