Site works at Dery City Cemetery today

DERRY City and Strabane District Council has advised that to facilitate some planned maintenance work to the entrance of the City Cemetery, there will be no vehicular access to the site today, Friday, July 31.

The public are being asked, where possible, to park outside the gates and walk to this section of the Cemetery or to use the cemetery car parks.

Apologising for any inconvenience caused, the Council spokesperson said it is hoped the works will be completed on Saturday and normal access will resume.

Urging the public to be patient and co-operate fully with staff, the spokesperson said it is important visitors to the cemetery show consideration to other road users and pedestrians by refraining from parking on the main thoroughfare.
