THE Stormont Executive has announced Swimming pools, spas and community centres in the North of Ireland can reopen from Friday, July 24.

It came after ministers agreed further moves to ease lockdown.

Ministers announced a raft of changes to COVID-19 restrictions to come into effect on the same date.

Spectators will be allowed to attend outdoor sporting venues “where the operator can control access and ensure adherence to social distancing”.

The number of people permitted to gather in a private home rises to 10.

The group can consist of people from up to four different households.

Saunas and steam rooms are among spa facilities permitted to reopen.

Funfairs can also resume operating from Friday, whether they are indoors or outdoors.
