Sinn Fein Foyle MLA Martina Anderson

SINN Féin’s Martina Anderson has raised concerns about repairs needed to one of the busiest main arterial traffic routes in the city.

Said the Foyle MLA: “Parts of the Skeoge Road from the Ballyarnett Roundabout to the Buncrana Road have fallen into disrepair with potholes and lack of road markings.

“This is one of the busiest main arterial traffic routes in the city with thousands of vehicles using it daily.

“I contacted the Department for Infrastructure and asked them could they urgently investigate this and make any necessary repairs, so the road is fit for purpose again.

“I am pleased to have received confirmation from the department that they will be carrying out temporary repair works along the Skeoge Link and this should be done within the next three weeks.

“Temporary repairs to the surface have been underway at the Ballyarnett Roundabout and the roundabout is to be totally resurfaced within the next few months.”
