THERE have been no new COVID-19 related deaths recorded in the North of Ireland by the Department of Health in the last 24 hours.
It brings its death toll is still 554.
The department’s daily figures are mostly comprised of hospital deaths and where a patient had previously tested positive for the virus.
The latest figures on the department’s dashboard show the total number of confirmed positive cases of the virus now stands at 5,756, with nine positive tests recorded over the weekend.
There have been 27 deaths from COVID-19 in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area to date.
The BBC has reported that a number of people from several families have tested positive for Covid-19 in Co Down.
The cluster of cases are located in Ballynahinch and Crossgar and it’s thought up to 16 people could be affected.
Health authorities including the Public Health Agency are reminding the public to contact them if they are experiencing symptoms so that measures including track and trace can be implemented as quickly as possible.
