Two quizzed at Strand Road after nine cars damaged in Derry

POLICE at Strand Road in Derry are investigating Criminal Damage to Motor Vehicles and attempted highjacking.

The wrecking spree happened in the Glengalliagh Road and Brookdale area of the City in the early hours of this morning.

A Police Derry City and Strabane spokesperson said: “We believe there may be as many as 9 vehicles damaged.

“We have two persons in custody assisting us with enquiries.

“If your car has been damaged, you witnessed anything or you have CCTV please contact Police on 101.

“Please use reference CW136 from 30/06/20.

“We believe this has occured around 05:30 am this morning.”
