Derry murder victim named as Darren McNally

Murder victim Darren McNally

POLICE have confirmed the identity of a man found murdered at a house in Derry on Monday.

He has been named as Darren McNally.

The body of the 46-year-old was found at a property in Newbuildings.

A woman was been arrested on suspicion of murder following the death of a man in Derry.

The woman, who is 41, has been charged with murder and possession of an offensive weapon with intent to commit an indictable offence.

She is due to appear at Derry Magistrates’ Court today, Wednesday, June 10, for a first remand hearing.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

After the discovery of Mr McNally’s remains, the PSNI’s Major Investigation Team was called in and launched a murder inquiry.
