THE Department of Health has reported one further COVID-19-related death in the North of Ireland.

That brings its total to 536.

The department says the death happened on saturday, May 30.

Earlier, the NI Statistics and Research Agency (Nisra) published its latest figures which includes all fatalities where COVID-19 is mentioned on a death certificate.

By Friday, May 29, it had recorded 757 deaths in total.

The Department of Health said there had been just three further cases of Coronavirus cases confirmed in the last 24 hours, bringing the total number of cases up to 4,776.

It also said there are ten patients being treated for COVID-19 across the North of Ireland’s intensive care units and 55 patients in total being treated for confirmed or suspected cases.

There have been 27 recorded deaths in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area since the pandemic started in March with over 160 confirmed cases within the council boundary.
