Coronavirus: Eight more people in North lose their lives to COVID-19

THERE has been eight a further Coronavirus-related deaths in the North of Ireland, the Department of Health (DoH) reports on Monday.

Its total, which is mostly comprised of hospital deaths, now stands at 514.

Today’s update from the DoH shows there have now been more than 58,136 tests carried out in here.

A total of 4,609 people have tested positive for Covid-19 – that’s 39 new cases in the last 24 hours.

There have been 27 confirmed deaths from Coronavirus in the Derry City and Strabane District Council area.

Figures by the NI Statistics Research Agency (Nisra) show that up to Friday, May 15, there were 163 confirmed cases in the council area.
