Alcohol and cash taken by burglars in Co Derry

THIEVES stole alcohol and cash when they targeted licensed premises in Co Derry.

The burglary happened in St Patrick’s Street in Draperstown last Monday but details have only been released by the PSNI.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “It’s believed the burglary took place in the early hours of the morning, between 4.30am and 5am.

“A sum of money and quantity of alcohol were stolen.

“One male suspect is described as being of medium height and build.

“He was wearing a light-coloured hooded top with the hood up, work trousers and trainers.

“We are appealing to anyone with information to get in touch.

“If you noticed any suspicious activity, and in particular a man matching this description, please contact us on 101 quoting reference number 1545 of 16/03/20.”

Information can also be provided anonymously to Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
