SINN Féin Moor Councillor Tina Burke has welcomed the news from the Housing Executive that the window replacement scheme is to start in areas of Creggan this Spring.

She was speaking after she sought clarification from Housing Executive on the start dates for the project.

Said Cllr Burke: “This is a long overdue development for homes in Creggan and is a result of lobbying carried out by my party colleague, former Cllr Kevin Campbell work which I continued on with.

“This window replacement scheme is part of the wider regeneration programme that is taking place in the Creggan estate.

“I am delighted to see that this is being progressed by bodies such as the Housing Executive.

“The areas confirmed to receive the window replacement scheme are , Aranmore Avenue, Balbane Pass, Benevenagh Gardens, Circular Road, Creggan Heights, Cromore Gardens, High Park, Iniscarn Road, Inveroe Gardens, Linsfort Drive, Ramore Gardens and Rinmore Drive.

“I have been in contact with the Housing Executive to seek further clarification on confirmed start dates for the projects.

“I will keep residents notified as I receive this information in the coming days.”
