FRIDAY the 13th of September was a lucky day for Lilliput Theatre Company as Derry Girl Saoirse made a surprise visit!

Saoirse Jackson who plays Erin Quinn in the hit TV series Derry Girls made a surprise visit to the Lilliput Theatre Company yesterday to the delight of its actors and staff.

Saoirse was filming outside the Playhouse for the Heritage Lottery Funding Project as part of their 25 years celebrations.

Saoirse has connections with The Playhouse as she came there as part of her work experience when she was 13 years old.

“She was incredibly friendly with the group and took her time both while filming and taking photos.

“This was definitely the highlight of the week for Lilliput!

“You just don’t know who will be the next famous person walking in through those doors!”

The Lilliput Theatre Company are busy rehearsing for their Pantomime “Let’s Do Panto II”.

It runs from the 4th and 5th December, 2019.

“We have invited Saoirse to come along – if she isn’t too busy with other filming commitments,” added the theatre company.
