Meadowbank to Garden City to get bulky lift this week – Cooper

Sinn Fein Councillor Mickey Cooper

SINN Féin Foyleside councillor Mickey Cooper has announced that a bulky lift will take place in a large area stretching from the Meadowbank area right out to Garden City over three days this week.

Councillor Cooper said he hoped the initiative would help to reduce incidents of fly tipping and increase recycling rates in the area:

“I would encourage residents in these areas to avail of this scheme and dispose of any unwanted furniture and household items,” said Cllr Cooper.

The bulky lift scheme allows locals to get rid of bulky unwanted household items for free without feeling the need to illegal dump items across the council area.
