SINN Féin Foyleside representative Hayleigh Fleming has said that residents in the Rosemount area are upset with ongoing anti-community activity in the vicinity of Creggan Burn and the steps adjacent to Baldrick Crescent.
She was speaking after concerns were raised about large numbers of young people gathering to drink alcohol in and around the Baldrick steps area.
She said: “Last weekend we seen large numbers of young people gathering to drink alcohol in and around the Baldrick steps area.
“Residents are rightly worried that with the bright, warmer summer nights approaching that this sort of thing will increase.
“I hope through a collective approach with the PSNI, the Council ,CRJ ,youth services and the local community we can reduce episodes of this type of activity taking place,” she added.
