The Bichon Frise dog which escaped after a car crash on Foyle Bridge today now back safely with its owners

THE search for a dog which escaped from a vehicle following a crash today on the Foyle Bridge has been reunited with its owners.

Police in Derry said the white coloured Bichon Frise went missing after the crash was seen “running about in the area”.

There had been a number of sightings of the dog in the aftermath of the crash.

Owner David McMonagle posted on Facebook this evening: “We have got back.

“A woman picked her up and took her home then rang the police.

“Thank you to PSNI foyle for all the help with help today

“And for getting her home.”

Great to hear David!
