The suspect has also been arrested under Section 41 of the Terrorism Act in connection with an armed robbery in the Meadowbank Avenue area of the city last Tuesday, January 15.
During the robbery, a substantial amount of cash was taken from a van driver.
The arrest of the 50-year-old bring to five the number of suspects being quizzed over the ‘reckless’ bomb attack on Saturday evening.
Four other males aged 42, 34, 21 & 21 who were arrested on Sunday in connection to the explosion remain in police custody at this time.
