Half time in Dr McKenna Cup semi-final: Derry 0-06 v 0-06 Tyrone

IT’S all square at half time in the Bank of Ireland Dr McKenna Cup between Derry and Tyrone (throw in 2 pm).l

Chrissy Bradley opened the scoring in the semi-final at the Athletic Grounds in Armagh.

The Slaughtneil man scored from a free on the fourth minute.

Five minutes later, Ben McDonnell levelled the score on nine minutes before Ronan O’Neill kicked Tyrone ahead with a point on 13 minutes.

But minutes later Chrissy Bradley got his second point of the match with a 45 metre free which sailed over the bar.

And soon after the Oak Leafers got their noses in front again with a point from open play by Enda Lynn.

Derry led 0-04 to Tyrone’s 0-02 when Shane McGuigan pointed with a 30 metre free kick.

With ten minutes to go, Tyrone narrowed the gap to a point with a free kick from Ruairi Sludden.

But Derry hit back, and with a free from the 20 metres out, Chrissy Bradley pointed from near the side line for his third score of the match.

And with half time approaching, Enda Lynn got his second of the game, fisting over after latching onto a great pass from Chrissy Devlin.

Tyrone fought back with successive points, one from Ronan O’Neill and a free kick 30 metres out from Ruairi Sludden.

And with a point from play, Conal McCann levelled the game from play and the match was all square at 0-06 to 0-06.

In the other semi final, Doengal trail Armagh by one one point: Dun na nGall 1-05, Armagh 0-09.
