DERRY City and Strabane District Council are inviting dog owners throughout the North West to join in the spirit of Christmas this year by encouraging them to dress up their pets in their festive finest and bring them along to the ‘Pooches Parade’ in Strabane Town Centre.

Following last year’s hugely popular event – which is part of the Strabane Christmas Fayre celebrations – Council has once again been inundated with registrations for the ‘Dog Christmas Jumper’ competition and ‘Pooches Parade’ on 2nd December in Butcher Street Car Park.

There will be a dog parade at 1:30pm across the two bridges with judging for best dressed pooch at 2:30pm.

Has your doggy been naughty or nice this Christmas?

Bring them along in their adorable Christmas outfits for a chance to win a doggy hamper for your pampered pooch or treat your canine pal to some Christmas goodies!

Why not spoil your furry friend to this great festive bash? The event is a fabulous opportunity for you and your pooch to have some doggy Christmas fun!

Prizes for large breed, medium breed and small breed – with every entry taking home a bag of treats from local dog grooming & pet food supplier Caliway.

So if you have a cute pup or if you think your dog is ‘best in show’ you can enter it online atwww.facebook.com/StrabaneChristmasFayre

For further information on the ‘Dog Christmas Jumper’ competition and ‘Pooches Parade’ contact Strabane Business Improvement District Officer Catherine Collins on 02871 253253 ext. 4265 or [email protected]
