DERRY’S City Centre Initiative has announced that part of Strand Road will be closed next month to remove a crane from the construction site at a new hotel in the city, the Holiday Inn Express.

CCI say: “We wish to inform you that on Sunday 4th November some Temporary Traffic Restrictions will be in place from 7 am – 4 pm.

“This is to facilitate the removal of the tower crane from the hotel development on the Strand Road.

“The contractors are unable to complete this work at night for Health & Safety reasons.

“A small section of the Strand Road between Patrick Street and Great James Street will be closed for the duration of the works and a traffic management plan will be in operation.”
