Details revealed for Gerard Doherty’s testimonial finale night

THE Gerard Doherty testimonial committee has revealed that the Derry City captain’s testimonial finale will be held in Derry’s Maldron Hotel on Saturday, October 27 starting at 8:00pm.

A spokesperson for the organising committee confirmed that Doherty had opted to finish on a similar note – wanting the night to appeal to all the club’s supporters.
“It’s fairly typical of Gerard that he didn’t want too much fuss, therefore, the testimonial party will be a sit-down buffet with band and disco to follow.”
“There will be a small auction during the evening as well but the emphasis will be a night for players, staff and supporters to get together.”
“It’s an ideal opportunity for a good night out and to acknowledge a decade of unbroken service from a real Derry City stalwart.”
Tickets for the function are now available from committee members priced £25 and numbers are limited.
