SINN Féin Councillor Mickey Cooper has thanked Derry City and Strabane District Council for the completion of upgrade work that has taken replace in the Glen play park.

Councillor Cooper said: “The nets at the play park were in a very poor condition and I was conscious that we were going into the very busy summer period when the usage of the park would be at its height.

“I have been lobbying the Council for the nets there to be replaced, so I am very pleased that this work has now been undertaken.

“They have also installed news gates and a new tyre swing.

“This park is a great asset for the community in the Glen so it’s important that we all look after it.”
