Police at the scene of last night’s armed robbery in Strathfoyle
One male was arrested during follow up inquiries but a second suspect escaped the dragnet.
PSNI in Derry say the armed robbery at Kelly’s Spar Strathfoyle.
“This happened at around 9.30 pm on Saturday 14th July.
“Police were on scene within minutes and one arrest has been made away from the incident.
“There were two suspects involved and enquires continue into the identity of the other person.
“We have been speaking with staff and community representatives at the shop.
“Staff are badly shaken from what was a terrifying ordeal.
“This is a small local business in a small community. Crimes like this affect us all.
“If you know who these people are, if you saw anything suspicious in the area at the time or if you know anything about this, please contact Police on 101 and quote reference number 1382 of 14/07/18.
“Alternatively you can give information anonymously by calling crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
“The smallest thing could be key to this investigation.”
