THE man killed after his motorcycle was involved in a collision with a car on the main Derry to Buncras Road has been named Eddie McIntyre.
The crash happened on the Burnfoot to Buncrana road at Caslteforward near Fahan at around 5.20 pm on Wednesday.
The 56-year-old, who lived in the Fahan area, was taken to Altnagelvin Hospital, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the car was not injured in the crash.
The road was closed by Gardai while the fatal crash scene was examined, but it has since reopened.
