SINN Féin Councillor Sandra Duffy has congratulated Derry man

Connor Coyle, the new NBA Intercontinental Middleweight Champion with Councillor Sandra Duffy

after defeating Danny Pastranain in Florida last night.

Sandra Duffy is the secretary of St Joseph’s ABC based in the Galliagh area of the city.

She said: “This is a great achievement by Connor on the world stage.

“Connor is an inspiration to many young boxers in Derry and across Ireland.

“Boxing is a big sport in this city and many people work away behind the scenes to provide a positive outlet for our young people.”
