Jobs boost for Derry as AXA announce 60 new posts

AXA Insurance has announced that it is to create 60 new jobs in Derry.

The new jobs will be created at the company’s offices in the Springtown Centre at the Elaghbeg Business Park on the Northland Road.

A AXA  spokesperson said: “We are excited to announce that AXA Insurance is creating up to 60 new jobs at our offices in Derry/Londonderry.”

Sinn Féin Foyle MP Elisha McCallion has welcomed news that insurance firm AXA  is set to create 60 new jobs in Derry.

The former Mayor of Derry said: “I very much welcome the news of this jobs announcement by AXA at its  Springtown operation in Derry.

“These jobs will provide a welcome boost to the local economy and will add to the firm’s existing workforce in the city.”
