St Columb’s Park House launch NI’s first permanent Disc Golf Course

Park Youth Group established as part of the Peace in the Park programme, Eliza Browning Community Co-ordinator, Peace in the Park, Sharon Doherty, Operations manager, St Columb’s Park House, Colleen O’Neill, Youth Co-ordinator, Peace in the Park, Deputy Mayor of Derry City & Strabane District Council, Cllr John Boyle and Gary Parr from Disc Golf NI – as well as 3 junior players who came along to ‘try their hand’ at Disk Golf.

AS part of their Peace in the Park programme, St Columb’s Park House invited the Deputy Mayor of Derry City & Strabane District Council, Cllr John Boyle to try his hand at Disc Golf – the new course officially opened in late March. 

The course is designed to suit all ages from the very young to the not so young, from beginners to the more skilled players. 
The course adds a new fun and active dimension to the park creating a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
