THE Strabane Brass Band are set to join forces with one of the top brass bands in England who have local connections for a spectacular night of music at the Alley Theatre this Saturday March 10th.

The Bollington Brass band were formed near Macclesfield in Cheshire in the 1890s and earned promotion to the UK Elite Championship Section in 2011 under the leadership of their Musical Director, Mr Peter Christian.

Peter has had a 20 year association with local music as a founder member of the Strabane Brass Band and in his role as MD and conductor of Strabane Concert Brass.

The Bollington Brass Band are coming to Strabane fresh from their recent qualification for the finals of the 2018 National Brass Band Championships of Great Britain.

The Strabane Brass Band brings together the strong heritage of brass band music which draws together all strands of brass from top quality bands such as St Eugene’s brass band, St Joseph’s brass band, St Colman’s school band, Tyrone Youth band and Strabane Concert brass.

Both bands will be performing a set separately before coming together for a grand assemble.

The massed bands concert on Saturday 10th March promises to be a spectacular experience for the audience and will be a night to live long in the memory.

Tickets are £8, £6 (concession) and available from the Alley Theatre Box Office on 028 71 384444 or online www.alley-theatre.com.
