Two thieves are being quizzed at Strand Road police station in Derry over a house burglary in Ballymagroarty area in the early hours of this morning.
POLICE have been arrested two burglars in Derry following a tip-off from a hawk-eyed member of the public.
The suspects are currently in custody at Strand Road police station being questioned about burglary with intent to steal and handling stolen property.
PSN Foyle say on its Facebook page:
“Police from Local Policing Team 5 responded to reports of a burglary in progress in the Ballymagroarty area just before 3 am this morning.
“Officers were quickly on scene and arrested two suspects who were trying to flee the area on foot.
“The items which were taken have been returned to their rightful owner.
“Thanks to this suspicious behaviour being reported we were able to take positive action.
“If anyone in the area at this time witnessed anything please contact Strand Road quoting reference 237 11/2/18.”
