TWO disqualified drivers are to be prosecuted after they were caught driving whilst disqualified in Derry.

And they are now staring at a prison sentence for driving whilst banned from the roads.

PSNI Foyle say on its Facebook page: “In the last three weeks Foyleside & the Moor Neighbourhood Team have detected two drivers driving whilst disqualified for the second time!

“These individuals have been disqualified from driving by a court and they are fully aware that they should not be behind the wheel.

“They also cannot hold any format of insurance as they should not be driving.

“If you are disqualified, please do not consider driving as if you are you run the very real risk of being sent to prison.”

If you know of a disqualified motorist still driving then police on 101 number.

Alternatively, pass the information anonymously Crimestoppers on freephone 0800 555 111.
