Missing Michael McGinley

THE search for missing Michael McGinley continues but the focus of its attention has now sadly turned to the River Foyle.

Michael, from Gobnascale, went missing on Sunday afternoon.

There had a number of sightings of the 27 year old in the Clooney and Glendermott Road areas of the city.

Despite extensive publicity, and appeals from his family for the public to check sheds and outbuildings, Michael has still not been found.

In a statement, PSNI Foyle say: “On behalf of the family of Michael McGinley we would like to thank everyone for their love, support and help since Michael went missing on Sunday 21st January.

“Sadly Michael has still not been located.

“The focus of the investigation is now the River Foyle.

“We are continuing to search for Michael with the assistance of the great people at Foyle Search & Rescue.”
